The Encounter at Liberty Church is the best kept secret in North Alabama. It’s a weekend dedicated to expose the lies of the enemy and show you the truth about God and yourself, so that you can live the abundant life Jesus died to give to you, be who God called you to be, and find your place in His Kingdom.
Freedom: Break the chains of bondage that’s pulled you down for so long and learn (specifically) how to overcome all of your hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Acceptance: Come to be loved, as you are, and find your place in God’s Kingdom. There’s room for all of us.
Truth: John 8: 32 - “...The truth will set you free.” God reveals the truth in us to change us - not to shame us.
Love: Your group leaders fast and pray for you (specifically YOU, by name!) the entire week leading up to the Encounter.
Inner Healing: Learn how all the times you’ve been hurt have shaped your belief system in how you view the world, today. More importantly, learn how to change your mindset and truly be healed. You don’t have to hurt anymore!
Changing Lives: God has an incredible life for you. Have you been settling for less?

For the past 15 years, Pastors Keith and Kellie Hodges have faithfully led God’s children into true freedom and lasting victory through Encounter Weekends.
What began as a vision birthed from Kellie’s own journey walking through a decade of deep depression and discovering the healing power of Jesus has grown into a ministry that has touched countless lives. Out of her personal struggle and breakthrough came a passion to see others set free, restored, and filled with hope.
Encounter has become a place where chains are broken, hearts are healed, and people experience the love of God in a fresh and powerful way. Testimonies pour in after every weekend — stories of lives transformed, faith renewed, and lifelong friendships formed.
For so many, Encounter is more than just an event, it’s the beginning of a brand-new chapter.
